Our Mission
The Darrba Land Trust exists to reclaim, protect, and revitalise ancestral Country through collective stewardship and Indigenous self-determination.
We are dedicated to the following core pillars:
Sovereign Stewardship: Asserting Traditional Owner rights to manage and protect land, water, and sea Country according to ancient Law and Custom.
Cultural Restoration: Facilitating the return of our people to Country to strengthen kinship ties, preserve oral histories, and maintain sacred sites for future generations.
Healing the Land: Implementing sustainable land management practices that prioritise ecological health and biodiversity over commercial exploitation.
Community Wellbeing: Building a self-sustaining future where the benefits of our resources are shared equitably, ensuring no member of our community is left behind.
Resistance and Education: Challenging the structures of dispossession while educating the broader public on the vital importance of Indigenous knowledge and land justice.
Our Vision: To ensure that Country remains healthy, our culture remains vibrant, and our community remains empowered, forever held in trust by the people to whom it belongs.
